A word from the founder: Pastor James Mvuamba
Rhema Bible College was founded in 2019 at the firm urging of Pastor James Mvuamba, a missionary and pastor under “church of God in Congo” Eglise del’amour( DRcongo Kinshasa), RBC was founded upon the vision to train ministers not only in Congo but also for the broader region of central Africa. The name of the college reflects this ambitious agenda. The main purpose of Rhema Bible College is to prepare Christian leaders for the present and future ministry in order to preach, serving the Lord Jesus around the world. We are training leaders, pastors, in order to be able to serve the Lord with Spiritual maturity and knowledge.

The history of Rhema bible college is a history of men and women who dedicated their lives in obedience to God’s call to service. More importantly, it is the story of God who providentially and sovereignly used this ministry and raised up instruments to fulfill His eternal purpose in Kinshasa DRC and in the rest of this great and diverse continent. By God’s grace, our faculty continually aims to uphold the school’s founding vision and its heritage in the reformed and fundamentalist tradition. RBC currently serves students in two methods: Campus and Online studies
Pastor James' Story
Hello, my name is Pastor James Mvuamba.
As a child of God, I have experienced His grace and mercy in so many ways and it is my hope that by sharing my story, you will be encouraged to trust in Him as well. Through the ups and downs of life, I have been able to find peace and joy through Jesus Christ. My prayer is that you will be inspired to experience the same for yourself.

My life before Christ
Growing up without a father was difficult for me and I felt lost, uncertain and hopeless. I grew up in a broken home, with my mother struggling to provide for us financially. I was constantly searching for something that could fill the void in my life. That's when I came to know Christ and found hope in Him. He filled my heart with joy and love, and gave me the strength to continue on despite all of the struggles that life threw at me. He showed me how to trust Him and have faith, which changed my life forever.

My life in Christ
I was 12 years old when I met Jesus and became a born-again Christian. It was through a group of Korean missionaries doing evangelism in my area that I heard about Jesus and his message of love, grace, and forgiveness. Since then, my life has been forever changed as I've experienced the power of God's love in my life. Through this journey, I've come to understand how important it is to stay connected with Jesus Christ in order to live a life that is pleasing to God.

Transformation and serving Christ
I got in an accident in 2007 whereby I decided and promised God if He healed me I will serve him all my life. I am still keeping the promise I made to God.

In 2015 I got a full scholarship to study theology and Missiology in Kenya Nairobi while I was still a student. The Lord talked to me through the Scripture in Isaiah 6:1-9. Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” He said, “Go and tell this people…
I obeyed and started going to preach the gospel to East Africa countries, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, Ethiopians, and East of D.R.congo where there are more than 10 000 people displaced and fleeing away from war and camping in East of Bukavu and Goma. My mission was to go there and preach the gospel of peace and salvation through Christ Jesus, so that God will bring peace to their hearts and joyful life.
As a result of God’s ministries through me in Africa, a lot of people have been transformed and gave their lives to Christ and many churches were revived.
In 2018 after graduation from Bible College of East Africa Kenya/Nairobi, I went back to my home country, Kinshasa to serve God and His people. From there, the Lord gave me a vision to open a Bible School whereby I started Rhema Bible College; we were had more than 50 students from different villages who came to study God’s word, teaching biblical practices, evangelism, mission, and sound doctrine.
By God’s grace I was introduced to ITS through my professor who was also a former student in ITS that I may get a scholarship for my further studies, so I decided to come but, my ministries are still going on in Congo.

Before I came to the USA I dreamt a Bible verse in Acts 23:11 “ The following night…As you have solemnly and faithfully testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify me in Rome” I did not understand that but when I was in the airplane to the USA I realized that God brought me here for that purpose.
